Radiograph of a hysterosalpingogram revealing persistence of the round filling defect (seen on an earlier film) within the uterine cavity, a large (5-6 centimeter diameter) right hydrosalpinx without clear spill into the pelvis, and a normal appearing left tube that eventually did spill into the pelvis. The initial spillage of dye from the midsection of the right tube into the distal right hydrosalpinx can be mistaken as spillage into the pelvis since the hydrosalpinx is so large that the dye disperses (apparently freely) into a large area. However, with continued fill of the right tube the distended markedly dilated right hydrosalpinx can easily be identified.
