The unicornuate uterus represents normal embryonic development of only one (of two) Mullerian duct (s). The caliber (size) of the unicornuate uterine cavity varies tremendously between women with this condition. The size of the (unicornuate uterine) cavity largely predicts the ability of the uterus to carry a pregnancy successfully to term.
