Clinical Evaluation

Treatment Options

Photograph of the right ovary displaying 1-2 small endometriotic lesions (discolored areas). The irrigator aspirator device is used as a probe that elevates the ovary from its normal location and exposes these lesions. It is very important to meticulously examine the entire pelvis (above, below and behind all organs and structures) since many abnormalities present are small and may be missed if a thorough exam is not completed. Removal of all lesions involving endometriosis is important, especially if there is access to a char free ultrapulse laser system, since even minimal endometriosis is associated with subfertility.
