Photograph of a uterus with multiple subserosal fibroids (the stalk of a pedunculated fibroid is grasped with a bipolar cautery device that will coagulate the vessels to the myoma prior to excision). Subserosal myomas are generally simple to remove laparoscopically with hemostasis completely established using bipolar cautery (prior to, during, and following removal).
